Hook is a program designed for entrepreneurs at the earliest stage of their startup journey. We look for exceptional individuals who either have a formed team and/or are ready to commit full-time to launch a company that competes on a global scale. If we believe in you, we invest 50k EUR for 5% of your company and accelerate your growth.

We offer two different paths at HOOK:

The Co-founder Boat: is HOOK’s pre-Batch and is designed for exceptional people who might not have a fully formed team yet, or don’t have an idea, but are ready to commit full time to building something new. This program lasts 4 weeks and ends with a pitch to our investment committee. Selected teams would officially enter The Hook Batch and get funded.

The HOOK Batch: The is our main program where we only accept fully formed teams and invest 50k EUR upon acceptance to the program. It lasts for 3 months and ends with a Demo Day comprised of a panel of 100+ investors from our network.

The Co-founder Boat is designed for to-be entrepreneurs to find a co-founder, to validate their concept, start building, and finally to pitch to the HOOK investment committee to get a chance to join the batch. The program lasts four weeks and directly precedes HOOK’s regular batches. The program will be split in the following ways:

2 weeks prior to the program

We'll provide you with access to the profiles of all the members in your cohort. This gives you an opportunity to get to know your future peers ahead of time.We'll also open up a platform for you to introduce yourself and share your ambition with the group.

WEEK 1: FIND YOUR CREW

During this week, you'll have daily meet-ups, engaging presentations, and a number of group exercises. You'll also participate in a variety of informal events that are designed to help you forge strong bonds with your peers. By the end of the week, you should have a solid team with whom you'll be working throughout the program.

WEEK 2: CHART your COURSE

The teams that were formed in the previous week will have to decide on an problem to focus on for the rest of the program. This week will also include some time dedicated to gathering insights by talking directly to users. Additionally, there will be various workshops run by the Team and some special guest speakers.

WEEK 3: Build your ship

In this week, you will engage in a Build-a-thon that's aimed at initiating the construction of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). There will be product iteration workshops throughout this week to assist in this process. To wrap up the week, you'll have a chance to demonstrate your product to HOOK's team, who will provide valuable feedback.

End of the program: Set Sail

Here, the formed teams will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to the HOOK investment committee. Successful teams will receive funding of 50,000 EUR in exchange for a 5% equity stake in their company. Afterward, these teams will kickstart the acceleration program, providing them with resources and support to take their ideas to the next level.

The program is only for applicants based in Paris.

The HOOK Batch is our main program where we only accept fully formed teams. We run two batchs a year lasting 3 months: the spring batch (starting March) and the fall Batch (starting end of September). The program is designed in two phases.

The sprint phase (2 months):

From the first day to the investment committee. Your team receives 50k euros (as an investment, for 5% of your company) and embarks for an intense phase where every week you have to attend: the Kick-Off, two Office Hours, the Dinner, and pitch sessions and workshops.

The growth phase (1 month):

This phase is designed to prepare you for the Demo Day. Pitching, talking to investors, and raising funds will be the main focus.

We support our startups for during their whole lifecycle. We will be available for office hours, community events, and alumni network.
